Hi!

I’m originally from Montréal, Québec, now based in Columbus, Ohio, by way of New York City and San Francisco. I am a multidisciplinary designer with a strong background in visual design, with a focus on UX.

I am currently a UX Designer at Meta on the Meta for Business team.

Design Journey

I began my design journey while living in Seoul, South Korea, which inspired me to get a second degree in Fashion Design & Apparel, and later work in the industry as a designer. Living in Seoul, I became fascinated by the effects of rapid industrialization within a society steeped in tradition. I was inspired by the way people dressed, how the fashion choices they made were not only a way to express their identity, but design the life they wanted. I began to notice how people interacted with design and how often subtle choices were so intuitive they became invisible.

The latter is what has stuck with me; a perpetual curiosity for how people interact with the world and how design can either be an impediment or an opening to greater joy, beauty and connection. As a designer, that is my mission.

from fashion to ux

The fashion design process is similar to that of the UX process; the product is just different. As a fashion designer at Joseph Ribkoff, many of my responsibilities mirrored that of a Product/UX Designer; researching our clientele vs. the user, sketching designs vs. sketching wireframes, designing for the clients needs and taking into account their pain points, which are all overlapping UX principles and transferable skills. Touching upon every aspect of the design process and already practicing design thinking was what set a strong foundation for me when it came to shifting to UX, all the while building a strong sense of visual design.

When I moved to the US in 2018, I began consulting and took on a few different clients. In that process I was introduced to UX and started taking on projects that exposed me more to user/human centered design. Overtime I wanted to get deeper into UX and sharpen my skills which led me to complete a program at UC Berkeley.

Now, I work at Meta as a UX/UI Designer on the Meta for Business team, where I design to help small businesses build customer relationships and reach new audiences on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
